The Worlds Biggest Rubbish Tip In The Sea

Did You Know About This Huge Amount Of Rubbish?!

I was simply shocked when I first heard about this catastrophic amount of plastic that has accumulated in the Pacific ocean. It is twice the size of Texas!

Can you imagine the damage this is doing to the wildlife? The sea turtles mistake the plastic for jellyfish and eat them. More than a million birds, 100,000 marine mammals and countless fish die each year from either eating the rubbish or from drowning in the endless plastic. Let alone what these chemicals are doing to us!

This mess is currently accumulated about a thousand miles west of California and about a thousand miles north of the Hawaiian Islands. And if this was not bad enough, a vast swirling mass of plastic bags and rubbish has now been found in the Atlantic too!!!
