Is The Ozone Layer Repairing Itself?
The scare of ozone layer depletion has been recognized as a real and actual fear since introduced by Al Gore some years ago. Since then, people have known that exhaust and other emissions put off by human presence on the planet are continually causing holes in the atmosphere to appear preventing the ozone layer to repair itself. This allows for the sun’s rays and radiation to plummet to earth unobstructed, and has contributed to rising temperatures that show no sign of lessening. For many people, the fear is real and growing, and can only be stopped with enough action from people to consciously monitor their emissions. But what some are presenting is an entirely new spin on the global warming debate; is the ozone layer actively repairing itself? CAN the ozone layer repair itself?
What About The Facts?
Research has shown that the ozone layer has undergone some destruction due to the emission put off by cars, machinery, and plants. This has become an ever-growing fear as the melting of polar ice caps and rising temperatures in the jungle and rainforest areas threaten the delicate ecosystem that we all call planet earth. What some people have presented in recent years though is some evidence that the ozone layer may be repairing itself.
Studies have come to the conclusion that if all emissions and pollution stopped, then in 50 years we will see ozone layer regeneration. This is due to chemicals in our atmosphere that are able to create more of the atmosphere, and this discovery has been hailed as breakthrough.
Many people fail to realize that we do effect our plant is many ways, both silently and blatantly, and the health of our atmosphere is definitely one of them. Finding a delicate balance between going about our daily routines and remembering to take good care of our ecosystem is paramount to ensuring a great living environment.
What Are You Doing To Help The Ozone Layer Repair Itself?
Though people think that the ozone layer will just keep depleting until there is nothing left except the oppressive sun’s bare rays upon us, that line of thinking is simply not true. The ozone layer is depleting, but it can just as easily repair itself. With just a little ingenuity about our greenhouse emissions, we can come up with a solution that allows humans to co-habit naturally with our planet. Monitoring our emissions, reducing waste, and providing cleaner air are all options that can have us seeing a future that better, brighter, and protected by a strong ozone layer.
